I gave a talk at Mapping USA 2026
Last year I got an OpenStreetMap US/Mapillary camera grant. The grant provides with a GoPro Max (affiliate link) 360 degree camera, and so I’ve been out collecting street-level images in Madison and surrounding areas for a few months. At the virtual conference Mapping USA, my fellow grant recipient and OpenStreetMap nerd Sean shared some of our experiences with the grant program and how we use street-level imagery to improve the map.
